Butuan - A suspect has already been identified in a shooting incident that killed Rolando Valdez alyas Rocky on June 2 at past 12 midnight.
The suspect is Kim Sultan, 25 years old married, a resident of Purok 8 barangay 15, San Ignacio, Butuan City and a native of Lumbatan, Lanao del Sur who is now a subject for a manhunt operation while a criminal case is being prepared by Butuan City Police Office to be filed in court.
The victim was found lying on a small pathway of Purok 5 Brgy Ong Yiu, shot several times on his different part of his body causing his untimely death.
SOCO team were able to recover seven pcs empty shell and one live ammunition of a caliber .45 pistol, a black wallet containing important documents, wrist watch, and a silver chain from the crime scene.
Initial investigation conducted by Butuan city Police Station 2 led by SPO4 Rodolfo Ledesma revealed that the victim is a former PNP member who is on AWOL and was involved with illegal drugs, facing several cases.
